Seventeen Seniors Recognized for their Commitment to Community Service by the Presidential Service Award
In a recent assembly, the following students were recognized by community service coordinator, Josh Berberian, and Head of Upper School, Tom Nammack for their commitment to community service. Shawna Benston, Lisa Bildersee, Abby Blum, Pookie Burch, Whitney Clark, Katie Grossman, David Haas, Kasey Hafer, Amanda Joy, Amelia Kinter, Alex Kinzig, Katherine Knapp, Mike Patterson, Dave Renninger, Julia Stroud, Ann Vale, and Lindsey Wheeler.

The Shipley students recognized represent over 4500 hours of service. What they have volunteered for is as exemplary as the hours they have logged. They have been  mentors to younger students in and out of the school, EMTs, meal preparers, walkers for fundraising events, and builders. To quote Mr. Berberian, “They are dedicated to causes and making a positive impact on the world around them.
