Boys’ Basketball
Following recent wins against The Christian Academy (64-40), the Scholastic Play by Play Tournament match against Ben Franklin High School (59-56), and Plumstead Christian (78-48), it’s proven that this team is Hot!
Come check out the athletic prowess of the Mike Kreuter (just scored his 1000th point), and Boris Meno (averages 18 points a game), Jimmy Forster (approaching his 1000th point), and the rest of this awesome team.

Girls’ Basketball and Volleyball
JV and Varsity Quadruple-Header against Baldwin, Friday, Feb. 7th (away).
Notable players to watch: Lori DeMito, who scored 24 points (four baskets were three pointers) in the recent game against Akiba Academy.
Volleyball notables are: Paige Dougherty, with her amazing serve; the combined talents of seniors Amelia Kinter, Alix Snyder, Whitney Clark, and Lisa Bildersee; juniors, Tina Drake and Joanna Wasik; sophomore, Christy Renninger; and freshman Colleen Richards.
Shipley Hosts the first annual Inter-Ac Invitational Volleyball Tournament, Saturday, Feb. 8th at 9:00 am.
Boys’ and Girls’ Squash
The Varsity Boys continue to advance in league play with a posted record of 9-4 (as of Feb. 4), and a tie for 1st with Lawrenceville in the Independent League.
Notable players: team captain, senior Graham Bassett , #1 player with a personal record of 7-5 against nationally ranked players; Owen Simpson, #3 player with a 8-4 win loss record; David Renninger and Steve Zisman also give fine performances.

The Varsity Girls will compete in the MASA (Mid-Atlantic Squash Association) Tournament on Wednesday, Feb. 5th, following a match against Agnes Irwin, Feb. 4th. Heather Lisle and Katie Hendricks are players to watch for advancement to the finals.
Swimming
Boys and girls continue to train rigorously with a big meet at Valley Forge Military Academy on Wednesday, Feb. 5th, where Jon Kearney hopes to break the pool record in 100 Fly and 500 Free. Relay teams combining the talents of Scott Johnson, Rex Iozzo, Bradley Strange, and Jon Kearney are also worth watching.
The Small School Championships take place at Haverford School, Sunday, Feb. 9th, beginning at 8:30 AM.

Band Night--Interested in hearing the musical talents of our students? Come to the Band Night in the Riely Theatre, Friday, Feb. 7th, from 7:00 to 9:30. Admission: $3.00.
