While students are the heartbeat of Shipley, alumni are its lifeblood. Since 1894 the School has graduated nearly 4,000 young women and men who have gone on to distinguish themselves in all walks of life and to represent the values and principles that have been at the heart of this school throughout its history.
In 1943 the Shipley Alumni Association was established, followed in 1948 by the opening of the Alumni Office which today is part of the External Relations Office located in Brownell House on Shipley’s Upper Campus. Since that time, the School, working closely with the Alumni Association Board, has worked to provide opportunities for alumni to stay connected with their School through both programming and communications. Opportunities to visit the School, to attend ongoing events at the School and to volunteer are abundant. Shipley welcomes the involvement and input of all of its alumni and encourages them to be in touch with the Alumni Office on a regular basis.
