East Ed Summer Diversity Conference
The East Ed Conference (formerly sponsored by NAIS) is held annually at the end of June It offers teachers, administrators, trustees, and students an opportunity to address issues of diversity that are so often overlooked in our school through group work and informal discussions. Participants are invited to explore their own innate biases in order to open the doors for true multicultural understanding of the world.

“It was truly a valuable experience for me personally. I now have a wider network of friends and colleagues to whom I can turn to lay the foundation for moving forward with this important work.” (Linn Vaughters)

“I was able to gain a sense of my own biases and how my biases frame my instruction. Furthermore, I was able to see how pervasive prejudice is in our country, particularly in that microcosm of society that is school” (Ed van Steenwyck)
