Bank Street College of Education
Since its beginning in 1916, Bank Street College of Education has been at the forefront of  education, committed to improving the quality of classroom education, and advocating for children and families. The College offers short format graduate courses during the months of July and August. Each course is typically two to three days in length. Course are offered in the following areas: Reading and Writing, Technology and Math,Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Methods and Management, Art and Science, Social Studies and Geography, Music and Movement, Supervision and Administration,  and After-School Education.

"The workshops I attended were really great. The Geography and Research Skills classes presented ways of teaching these subjects that I had never considered. Each focused on teaching in collaborative settings. Book Making was also incredible and totally different from any other workshop I've attended: it was very hands-on and inspiring enough that I have actually figured out ways to use it in my class. Another great thing about Bank Street is the other teachers you get to work with, and thus the ideas, materials, etc., you get from classmates as well as the instructor." (Peter Schumacher)
