Annually, a six or seven college age alumni return to Shipley to participate in a panel discussion on college related issues that is presented to the senior class. The program is coordinated by the College Counseling Office in an effort to provided seniors with a chance to speak with peers who have gone through the college decision experience relatively recently. They offer advice on coping with roommates, finding the best professors, choosing majors, and taking advantage of what colleges have to offer.
Following the panel discussion the panelists and twenty-five additional visiting alumni met with interested students for an informal reunion brunch.
This year’s panel members were: College junior Ansley White, The College of Wooster; sophomore Ryan North, Bowdoin College; freshman Carolyn Schogol, University of Pennsylvania; freshman Cat Biddle, Brown University; freshman Lauren Richter, Lehigh University; sophomore Margot Smith, Fairfield University; and freshman Rob Mygatt, University of Rochester.
