The Shipley endowment is composed of individual funds established by donors who each had a vision for the School's future. Endowed funds have provided the long-term financial support necessary to sustain everything from faculty salaries and scholarship aid to athletics and building maintenance.
Endowed funds may be established at a variety of levels for many different programs. The School's priorities are dynamic and diverse, and donors are able to match their philanthropic interests to a wide range of needs.
An endowed fund generates income for its designated purpose or department according to spending policies established by the Shipley trustees. Donors who establish endowed funds receive regular updates on the investment performance of their funds, along with reports from the School on how income is being used from year to year.
If you would like more information regarding endowed funds, please contact Chris Farr, Associate Director of External Relations, at (610) 525-6969, or cfarr@shipleyschool.org
Scholarship Funds
Scholarship Funds Scholarship funds may be established at a variety of levels, all of which benefit outstanding Shipley students.

Faculty Support Shipley faculty not only teach, but are responsible for the ongoing renewal of the School's curriculum. Whether in the design of new elective courses, the development of interdisciplinary programs, or the installation of new teaching methods and tools, faculty are the architects of students' preparedness for college and for life. Faculty guide dozens of co-curricular activities that enrich the daily lives and are critical to the overall development of students; they stand behind every school play, athletic team, and student activity or club at Shipley. Even more important, every Shipley faculty member acts as advisor, mentor, and role model for students, whether concerning study habits, academic progress, development of individual interests or personal conduct.
While Shipley has been able to retain its faculty despite the lucrative salaries offered in the area, we may not always be so fortunate. For every $1 million raised specifically for faculty salary endowment, approximately $500 could be added to each teacher's salary. While this amount might appear to be slight for some, it would make great gains in Shipley's continued ability to attract and retain its top-notch faculty
Funds for faculty support may be established at a variety of levels, and may be designated, within established School priorities, for a particular academic department, discipline, or other program.
