Lee Stuart '71 Receives Honors from the City of New York
Lee Stuart ’71 received The Leadership Award at the 2006 New York City Neighborhood Achievement Awards on July 17, 2006. New York City Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg and Department of Small Business Services (SBS) Commissioner Robert W. Walsh hosted the event and presented awards to organizations, businesses and individuals that have demonstrated excellence in enhancing New York City neighborhoods by fostering small business activity and creating greater economic opportunity for an entire community.

The Leadership Award honors an individual or organization who has demonstrated outstanding leadership over the course of their career in advancing the development or overall economic welfare of a New York City neighborhood. Lee received the award for her work with the South Bronx Churches Nehemiah Program, which works to provide affordable housing in the South Bronx.
