Alumni College Panel
On January 5, 2006, Shipley alumni sat down with current students to share their wisdom and experiences regarding college and the path to reaching the university level. Still in the area enjoying their holiday break, more than 20 alumni from a variety of classes and colleges, imparted advice regarding topics such as the college application process, campus orientation programs, dorm roommates, extracurricular activities, homesickness, and class scheduling. A consistent voice urged the current students to "Overall, listen to your gut and your heart, and stretch yourself to explore new environments and ways of thinking." The discussion panel was followed by a reception for alumni and faculty at Brownell House.
