The Shipley School: Alumni: Recent Events & Alumni News

Without regard for the weather—just like the Postman—Shipley alumni braved a heavy autumn deluge to gather at Iron Hill Brewery in Media to celebrate their friendships and the School. Twenty-six alumni and guests joined faculty and staff for Shipley’s salute to Oktoberfest at the local microbrewery on October 11. One alumnus even traveled from California for the event….well, he had business in Pennsylvania, but hey, he made time for Shipley, too! Good food, good drinks, and fine company were highlighted by a pleasant and informative tour of the beer-brewing process. ‘Bob the Brewmaster’ was the group’s knowledgeable guide and shed light on the intricate steps that are involved in creating one of Iron Hill’s award-winning brews. If you missed the event, we’ll excuse you this time……you’ll just have to join us at the next alumni gathering because they’re too much fun to pass up!
