Constantine Stavropoulis '82 Helps D.C. Area Residents Find Their "Third Place" Tryst and The Diner have become staples within the Adams Morgan community, and so has Constantine. As leader of the Adams Morgan business association, Constantine was described by D.C. Councilman Jim Graham D-Ward 1 as “a businessperson with a conscience. He cares about the general good and he has been really selfless in terms of his leadership of the Adams Morgan business association.” Additionally, Constantine has taken a leadership role in organizing a business improvement district for the Adams Morgan businesses. In November 2005, Constantine, ironically, opened his third, “third place”. The coffeehouse/diner/bar, named Open City, is located in the Woodley Park neighborhood of the DC Metro area. Constantine’s achievements were previously highlighted in the Spring 2005 Shipley Bulletin. Posted Monday, January 09, 2006
