The academic support program is designed to support referred students by:

• Providing instruction in skills needed to meet the demands of Shipley’s rigorous academic curriculum.
• Teaching learning strategies appropriate to the learning style of the student.
• Monitoring use of the learning strategies that have been taught.
• Coordinating classroom accommodations for eligible students.
• Maintaining a list of professional referrals.
• Being a resource to parents in providing information regarding standardized testing.
