The Shipley Sprouts won 68 ribbons for 99 entries in the 2008 Philadelphia Flower Show. In the last two years, each of the 18 Sprouts has earned at least one blue ribbon in the bulb classes.

Some of the more notable awards include Joanie Thompson's first-place ribbon and the Delaware Valley Bulb Award for her Narcissus Topolino entry. It was the third such award for any Shipley Sprout in the last 33 years.

Juniors Liz Owens and Elinore Richter earned a blue ribbon for their miniature landscape garden. Seniors Meghan Stevenson-Krausz and Clare Kuensell earned two 3rd place ribbons and two class commendations for their novice miniature landscape garden.
