Jill Lambert '03 Finishes Stellar Hockey Career at Lafayette College with Honors
Lafayette College field hockey goalie and Shipley alumna, Jill Lambert ’03 (Newtown Square, PA), finished her four-year career on the Leopards field hockey team by guiding them to the Patriot League semi-finals against Holy Cross. Unfortunately, Lafayette College lost 5-2, to finish third in the league with American University triumphant as the Patriot League Champions.

A three-year starter at Lafayette, Lambert racked up many accolades during her college field hockey career. In 2006 Lambert was named co-captain of the Leopards squad and she was recognized as the Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Week for the week ending October 22. In 2005 she received Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week honors in the opening week of the season. Lambert also finished the 2005 season ranked 8th in the country with 159 saves. Her .764 save percentage made the national ranks at 18th in NCAA Division I. Thus ends a fabulous and illustrious career as the #4 goalkeeper in Lafayette College field hockey history, 3rd in the Patriot League, and a nationally-ranked goal keeper in the NCAA during her time defending the goal for the Leopards.
