Sunday, November 20, 2:00 p.m. Riely Theatre $5 admission Seating is limited. To reserve tickets e-mail Emmy Miller, emiller@shipleyschool.org. Welcome to our 2005 Fall Shakespeare Season! The Shipley Shakespeare Program is turning 5 years old this year, and we are very proud to be working on our 10th production. We had a wonderful turnout for auditions, and were absolutely delighted with how many gifted actors (both new and old) we will be working with. For this year’s fall show we have compiled a series of scenes, mostly comic, which we are calling “An Infinite Deal of Nothing.” The plays represented include Love’s Labor’s Lost, Merchant of Venice, Two Noble Kinsmen, Two Gentlemen of Verona, Henry VI, Merry Wives of Windsor, and Othello. Aside from the pleasure of working with some of Shakespeare’s funniest scenes, we are also looking forward to exploring the more serious issues of bigotry and revenge in Merchant of Venice. We hope that such juxtaposition is in keeping with the spirit of the Bard: mixing levity and gravity was one of Shakespeare’s specialties--as those of you who saw King Lear know!
