Schauerman was an assistant for the varsity boys’ soccer team at Shipley this fall during their 2005 Friends Schools League championship season. He is a 1995 graduate of Ridley High School and a 1999 graduate of Marymount University in Virginia. At Ridley, Thom was an All-Central League soccer goalie and participated in the Delco All-Star Game in 1995. At Marymount University, he was a four-year starter and a three-time captain, garnering All-Conference honors in 1995. Since college, Thom has worked as a goalie coach and trainer for the Olympic Development Program and the FC Delco “Fury,” the 2005 U-16 Pennsylvania State champions. Thom has also been a goalkeeper coach for Conestoga High School (varsity and JV boys) from 2003 to 2006 and for The Haverford School (varsity and JV boys) from 2003 to 2005. He has NSCAA State and Regional Goalkeeping Diplomas and a NSCAA Regional Coaching Diploma and is the founder of Keeper 1 goalie and field player training.
