Sarah Megan Thomas ’97 and Thirteenth Night Theater Company Present the New York Premiere of Tender

Sarah Megan Thomas ’97 with Alumni Board President, Doug Jordan ’95 and Head of School, Steve Piltch, at Shipley's 2007 alumni awards ceremony.

On Saturday, January 19, Sarah Megan Thomas’s Thirteenth Night Theater Company will open the curtain on its fifth production since its inception in 2003. Tender, by Abi Morgan (Tsunami: The Aftermath on HBO; Sex Traffic), is a sometimes acerbic, yet always poignant, exploration of love and friendship. The play earned Morgan a nomination for the Laurence Olivier Theatre Award as Most Promising Playwright in 2002. It will run through February 9 at The Michael Weller Theatre (311 West 43rd Street, Suite 602, New York, NY).

Sarah, who earned Shipley’s Young Alumni Award in May 2007, made her starring film role debut last year in The Little Things, the first feature from filmmaker Stephen Padilla. The film was an official selection of the 16th Philadelphia Film Festival and won the Audience Award at the Red Bank Film Festival.

In addition to starring in Tender, Sarah is filming Buddy Gilbert Comes Alive, a feature with Elisabeth Moss.

For more information about Tender performances and tickets, go to the Thirteenth Night website.
