All members of the community are invited to attend Shipley’s annual Pizza and Book Chat on Wednesday, November 28th, 5:30-7:30, in the Upper School Dining Room. Our topic of discussion, Greg Mortenson’s Three Cups of Tea, relates the inspiring story of one man’s heroic mission to promote peace and education in the remote mountainous regions of Pakistan and Afghanistan. Newscaster Tom Brokaw calls Mortenson “one ordinary person, with the right combination of character and determination, who is really changing the world.” Discussion will be led by Shipley colleagues who heard Mortenson speak recently in Washington, DC.
