Letters from the Head of School

Dear Shipley Family,

In our efforts to keep you informed, we want you to know that last Saturday several people were robbed walking near Bryn Mawr Hospital and the Bryn Mawr train station shortly before midnight. The Lower Merion and Radnor Police departments are investigating the incidents.

Although we do not believe that there is a threat to any of our students during the day, please be assured that the School takes many precautions and has many procedures in place to keep your children secure. At the same time, we urge you, for your part, to teach your children to be especially vigilant and cautious when they are out. This is especially true when they are alone or it is after dark. It is always safer to travel in larger groups of three or more.

We will keep you abreast of any other information that we receive. If you have any questions or concerns, please call or email me.

Warmest regards,

Steven S. Piltch
Head of School
