Event Recap: Boston Alumni Reception

Sharing the town with a former President is no small feat, but Shipley alumni stepped out for the occasion on a warm spring evening in Boston. While Bill Clinton spoke across town, Boston area alumni gathered on the much famed Newbury Street for cocktails and good company at Sonsie. Part of the Lyons Group restaurant and entertainment conglomerate, Sonsie has ties to alumna Kristina Hare-Lyons ’83, who joined the alumni festivities on June 6.

The highlight of the evening was the presence of alumna and former faculty member, Kay Francis Graff ’54, and her husband, Larry. The Graff’s recently relocated to the greater Boston area to be near family, and it was a delight for Kay and her former students (which made up nearly half of the alumni attending the event) to catch up throughout the course of the evening.
