Internet Explorer as primary browser
Installation of the ICA Client for Macintosh OS X Note: if you are upgrading from a previous version of the ICA Client for Macintosh OS X, delete the client folder before installing the newest version of the client.

1. Download the latest Client for Macintosh OS X.
2. Double click the MacICA_OSX.dmg file that was downloaded — this mounts the Disk Image file in Finder:
3. Drag the Citrix ICA Client folder to the Applications folder in the left pane.
4. Open the Applications folder.
5. Double click the Citrix ICA Client folder.
6. Double click the Citrix ICA Client Editor.
   The License Agreement appears. Accept the License Agreement.
7. Exit the ICA Client Editor.

The ICA Mime Type is now registered with Internet Explorer.

Using MAC OSX with Safari as your Primary Internet Browser

1. Download the latest Client for Macintosh OS X.
2. After download is complete >> you’ll see a window named ‘Metaframe Presentation Server Client’.
3. Double click on ‘ICA Client.pkg’ to install Citrix ICA.
4. Click ‘continue’ in the ‘Welcome to Citrix Client Installer’ window.
5. Click ‘continue’ again in the ‘Important Information’ window.
6. Click ‘continue’ once more in the ‘Software License Agreement’ window.
7. Click ‘Agree to Terms’.
8. Click ‘continue’ for ‘select a destination’, (default location is application).
9. Click ‘Install”
10. When you see a window for ‘The software was successfully installed’, click ‘Close’.
11. Exit all windows.

Symptoms
After a system restart, Macintosh OSX workstations may remove the Macintosh ICA Client mounted image with the folder and files.

Cause
The mounted image is not installed on the hard drive.

Resolution
Open the mounted image and copy the ICA Client folder to the Macintosh OSX applications folder located on the Macintosh hard drive.
Files located in the application folder are not deleted when the client device is restarted.
