Special Reading Project for Laurels

As your final Reading Project you will be creating an ANNOTATED BIBLIOGRAPHY of all the books read for school this year. This can be a PowerPoint OR a simple word document. You will need the title of each book and the author’s name, each spelled correctly and a brief summary or description of the book. In PowerPoint this should be no more than one or two sentences. In a word document this could be slightly longer , if you wish.

For the PowerPoint:

·         You will need a title slide – e.g. “Books Read in 5th Grade”
·         You will then need a slide for every book you read this year as a school assignment.
Each slide must include
1.      the TITLE of the book,
2.      the NAME of the author and
3.      a brief SUMMARY of the book. This summary should not exceed 2 sentences but it should give a good sense of the book and what it is about.
4.      OPTIONAL - some kind of GRAPHIC for each slide.
·         Your slides should be in the order in which you read the books – starting with your summer reading. Exact dates are not necessary.

BEFORE YOU INSERT GRAPHICS OR CHANGE BACKGROUNDS, FONTS, ADD COLOR OR ANY EFFECTS YOU MUST CREATE EVERY SLIDE – book title, author’s name (correctly spelled) and summary

WHEN ALL THE BASIC SLIDES ARE FINISHED, THEN YOU MAY ADD GRAPHICS, COLOR, ETC.

For the Annotated Bibliography as a Word Document

·         You will need a title – e.g. Books Read in Fifth Grade
·         You will need a brief introductory general paragraph about books read. For example: This year we read many books. Some of these books were about survival while others….
·         You will need to list each book in the order read – title, author’s name and a brief summary of the book. This should be no more than two or three sentences.

DUE DATE: Your project must be completed by
