Artist's Statement

"The images featured on this web site were mostly captured, imagined, and produced in my studio in Rockland, Maine. They are about simplicity, mystery, humor, and balance.

I have been influenced by many artists who work, or have worked in the Penobscot Bay area. My vision was sparked many years ago in a college poetry seminar, where we were taught to look into, with thought and effort, that which is right under our noses.

The objects that I photograph have great personal significance. They are like memories of long ago summers. Many have been in my possession for years, some have been borrowed, and most connect me to a time, a place, an event, or a person from my past."
