Shipley Students have been very active this fall raising money for a variety of organizations. UNICEF/AIDS Children in Africa Fund, The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Awareness Foundation, and the Lance Armstrong Foundation are just some of the organizations to which Shipley students have committed themselves.

The all-school denim day raised $1,400 for the Susan G. Komen Foundation. The Lower School and Upper Schools combined raised over $1,700 for UNICEF in a "dress down" day, and $300 dollars was raised in “Livestrong” bracelet sales. This total, combined with the total money raised for Alex’s Lemonade Stand and the Lance Armstrong Foundation at the opening fair/fundraiser, Super Saturday, puts Shipley’s contributions at over $3,400.

As the holiday season approaches, Shipley students, staff, and families continue their spirit of giving by ordering pies from MANNA. “Pie in the Sky,” an annual MANNA fundraiser, allows MANNA to provide Thanksgiving dinners to families living with HIV/AIDS. The $25. donation from one pie feeds a family of four. The All-School Can Drive kicks off the week before Thanksgiving, and students are getting ready to supply families, the elderly, and hospital patients with gifts, food, and decorations for the holidays.
