A Project of Love: Sewing for Eldernet
Shipley’s Lower School after-school sewing activity has been busily hand sewing pillows with pockets as gifts for the Eldernet organization to give to residents of Ardmore House. Using vibrant fabrics, the students learned how to thread needles and hand sew these specialized pillows so that they can be filled with crosswords, greeting and playing cards, pens, and candy. They carefully wrapped them in clear wrap and posed for photos with their completed gifts. They were delivered to Eldernet by their advisor Betsy Leschinsky.
