$12,500 Scholarship Fund Established as a Surprise Send Off
Lower School Head, Anna Hadgis, who is leaving at the end of this school year, was the guest of honor at a surprise party thrown for her by the entire Lower School. Students in each grade prepared special goodbye presents of books, readings, poems, and photos. They performed two of her favorite songs, “The Circle of Life” from the Lion King, and “What a Wonderful World.” Parents, faculty, and friends made contributions in Hadgis honor to The Brain Tree Primary School by establishing a scholarship fund in her name. The Anna Hadgis Scholarship Fund earned $12,500, which will be used to support the Ugandan school that Shipley’s Lower School has been partnered with for the last two years.
