Four-Day Can Drive Helps Those in Need
“Yes you Can!” was the challenge and the students took it seriously. This year’s All-School Can Drive netted 4,619 cans and non-perishable food items for donation to the Philadelphia Food Bank and the 19th Street Shelter. That’s a significant amount of food for a drive that lasted only four days.

Connie Campbell’s second graders and Ingrid Serrell’s fourth graders averaged 15 cans per person, a significant effort which helped to push the Lower School over the top with the largest number of donated cans! Lower School students were responsible for bringing in over 2,200 cans, while Middle School brought in 1,377 and Upper School contributed 1,018.

Congratulations were in order for all participants who helped to make the holidays a little brighter for many families!
