Samantha Bennett ’84 Elected President of the National Society of Newspaper Columnists
Samantha Bennett ’84 was elected president of the National Society of Newspaper Columnists last June for a two-year term. Bennett has written her award-winning column for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette for 10 years and has most recently won Second Place 2008, Division III, General Commentary, from the American Association of Sunday and Feature Editors; First Place 2008, over 75,000 circulation, Best Column, from the Pennsylvania Associated Press Managing Editors; and a fall 2008 Jefferson Fellowship from the East-West Center to study the presidential election campaign.
