Summer Reading Program

For Students Age 4 – 7 or entering PreK – 2

Registration for the Summer Reading Program is now full.

The Shipley Summer Reading Program provides a balanced literacy program with an emphasis on phonological awareness, decoding, sight-word recognition, fluency, vocabulary, comprehension and writing skills. We provide a low student-teacher ratio so we are able to individualize instruction.

Jumpstart Program

For Students Age 4 – 7 or entering PreK – 2

August 30 – September 3
Monday – Friday, 9:00 am – Noon - Morning Session Full!
Monday – Friday, 12:30 pm – 3:30 pm - Afternoon Session Full!

The Jumpstart Program is held the week before the opening of the school year. This newly designed program covers the same content areas in review format to prepare students for the beginning of school. Jumpstart offers the low student-teacher ratio as the three week program. Both programs also help to advance and enrich the skills of children who have begun to read independently with little or no adult assistance.
