Join us on Friday, April 10, 2015 for Shipley's biggest fundraiser, The Shipley Spring Auction. The success of this event depends on the many talents and resources of our Shipley families, alumni, staff, and extended community. We couldn't do it without you and appreciate any and all help. All proceeds directly support Shipley’s academic, athletic, arts, music, financial aid, and other programs.

Underwriting Opportunities Available!

Want to contribute to the Shipley Spring Auction, but not sure what to donate? To help increase the funds raised at the auction, the Spring Auction committee invites you to help reduce the costs of creating such a special, community-building event. In the Underwriting Opportunities information packet you will find a number of options to underwrite portions of the evening. Any amount you decide to contribute in this manner will be fully tax deductible. Recreated State Dinner by Former White House Chef, John Moeller

Experience a recreated State Dinner for 12 in your home with State of Affairs Catering founder, Chef John Moeller. In September of 1992 John started his tenure as a White House Chef for President George H.W. Bush and continued with 8 years for President Clinton and 5 years for President George W. Bush. Responsible for all of the private meals for the First Family and the Official Functions that occurred in the White House and on occasion meals at Camp David, John has exceptional stories to share with you and your party guests. Your dinner will be structured as a traditional State Dinner, which includes hors d'oeuvres, a fish dish, a meat dish, followed by a salad and cheese course, and ending with dessert. Chef John will talk about each course with you as they are served, including not only preparation, but also first-hand White House anecdotes. Following dinner, Chef will make himself available for a Q&A, during which you and your guests can learn more about his cooking style and his experience under three different White House Administrations. Along with this incredible experience comes a signed copy of his book, “Dining at the White House,” where you can read all the fascinating details of his tenure as a White House Chef. The date is to be mutually agreed. Winning bidder to provide wine pairings, if desired.
