Professional Development -- Committee

The Professional Development Committee exists to promote professional growth of all faculty in the three divisions during the academic year as well as during the summer months. The committee, under the leadership of Denis Asselin, is made up of six members, two from each division, who serve for a term of three years. Only two members are replaced at the end of any given year, to assure greater continuity in the committee's work. Those interested in serving on the committee are voted in by members of their division. The committee meets on a monthly basis throughout the school year.

The committee keeps faculty abreast of professional development opportunities through announcements and the newsletter, encourages class visits, and promotes the sharing of professional development experiences among colleagues. The committee devotes a significant amount of time in the Spring to overseeing the distribution of summer funds available.
