The Shipley School’s senior soccer player, BJ Glenn (Philadelphia, PA) signed his National Letter of Intent to attend Lafayette College and play on the school's Division I Men’s Soccer team in the Patriot League.
Glenn’s mother, Sherita Glenn, father Robert Glenn, Shipley soccer coach Thom Schauerman, and Athletic Director Dan Serfass were present for this important event. Glenn was a Co-Captain of the 2006 Friends Schools League Championship soccer team. In addition, BJ was awarded Soccer Player of the Year (MVP) from the Bryn Mawr Rotary Club on Monday, February 5, 2007. He was a member of the 2005 FSL Championship squad, and the 2003 and 2004 Keystone Conference Championship teams at Shipley. In 2004, Glenn was recognized with All-Southeast PA accolades and All-State honors. During his soccer career at Shipley, BJ scored 79 goals and 25 assists—a second-place record on the all-time scorers list for goals. In 2006 Glenn was named the Main Line Life Boys’ Soccer Player of the Year. He is currently training with the FC Delco premier team to prepare for the next step in his soccer career with the Lafayette Leopards.
