Boys’Shipley—92 Harriton—85 Girls’ Friday, December 1 marked the beginning of a new era in Shipley swimming. Twenty-seven out of 36 swimmers earned at least one POP (Personal Outstanding Performance) for competing in a new event or setting a personal best time. New school records were set in the girls 400 free relay and the boys 400 free relay. Three new divers scored their first points for Shipley as well.
Other individual winners were Elizabeth Maltz (500 free), Laura Butera (100 back), Lucy Paschos (100 breast) and Elise Mercier (diving). Terrell Adams took the 200 IM and the 100 fly. Shipley’s next meet is this Tuesday, December 5 with Perkiomen at Cabrini College, for a rare coed meet with the girls and boys competing together. Shipley’s last meet with Perkiomen was a close one, with the Gators winning in the final relay.
