The Shipley School boys’ lacrosse team (3-4, 1-0 FSL) won their first league contest with a 9-0 victory over George School.

Shipley senior John Hird led the way for the Gators with 4 goals, 4 assists and 7 ground balls.  Freshman Julius Mouser played a great game as well, with 2 goals and 2 assists.  Juniors Justin Miller and Charlie Gaulin, as well as sophomore Danny Brown each contributed 1 goal.

Defensively, juniors Arne Andersen, Pat Sullivan, and Will Strathmann kept George School’s attack away from the goal and regained possession frequently, helping to claim a shutout victory. Junior Jack Tanenbaum picked up his first shutout of the season with 19 saves.
