Five Shipley Upper School students joined Episcopal’s varsity ice hockey team for the 2006-2007 winter sports season. Sean Legnini, Eli Branzburg, Andrew Mason, Stephen Rosenman, and Harrison Keiser took advantage of Shipley’s Independent Sports program to pursue a sport of personal interest, while still acquiring mandatory PE credits.
Episcopal's blue and white Churchmen have been appreciative of the Gators’ contribution to the team’s success this season, which started back in November. Friday, February 2 marked the traditional Senior Night ceremony, in which senior parents are given flowers by their sons. Shipley seniors, Branzburg, Legnini, and Keiser, were honored that night. The evening ended with a 5-4 win over St. Joe’s Prep, thanks in part to Keiser in goal and Branzburg’s two goals. The Shipley boys finish their home schedule on Monday, February, 12 at the Skatium at 8:00 pm in a match against the very strong Interboro HS squad. They wrap up the long winter season on Saturday, February 17 at Academy of the New Church. Congratulations for a great season from Shipley and Episcopal!
