The Shipley girls’ squash team (1-1) earned their first win of the season by beating The Hill School with a score of 5-2.

Sophomore Tara Stokes, playing at #2, was down 2-0, but after winning a very close third game, she showed great composure and patience. Her strength and endurance allowed her to win the last two games comfortably and secure her first win of the season.

Senior Brittany Zoll, playing at # 6, also came from behind to win her first match of the season. Zoll was down 3-1, only to come back and win the fourth game 9-4. In the fifth game the girls went point for point with Zoll finally pulling out the game with a score of 9-7.

The Gators next play at Germantown Friends on Tuesday, December 4.
