Shipley began the scoring in the 2nd inning, with freshman Lauren Touey reaching base on an error and scoring on a pass ball for the first run of the game. The Gators would get 4 runs in the 3rd with sophomore Jenn Nichols, juniors Julia Schwartz, and Adrienne Drummond, and Touey all scoring runs.

In the 5th, juniors Ginny Wheeler and Maureen Gentry would both score. In the same inning senior tri-captain Rebecca Yuska hit a solo homerun finishing off the scoring for the Gators in the game. The Gators improved to 13-3 on the season and 7-0 in the Friends League.
