Who better to offer insight and advice to seniors preparing for college than recent alumni? Each year a number of Shipley’s alumni return to school for a panel discussion in which they offer their thoughts and perspective on the college process and the college experience.
Coordinated by the College Counseling and the Alumni offices, the event is designed specifically to provide an opportunity to hear firsthand from those who have recently completed the process of applying to, choosing, and finally attending college. Questions from College Counselor Judith Williams and from students cover a range of pressing issues seniors and juniors have about choosing the right courses, living and coping with roommates, whether they should participate in extracurriculars like sports teams and clubs, and choosing a major.
