The young Shipley School boys’ varsity squash team recorded a victory in their season opener. Co-Captains Kit Norris #3 and Ryan Archer #5, soundly defeated their opponents 3-0, leading the team to a 7-2 victory against league rival Malvern Prep.

Sophomore Sam Kramer lost his1st and 4th games, but regrouped to decisively defeat his opponent 9-0 in the 5th game. Senior Austin Anderson, in his first match as a varsity player, was beaten in his first two games of the match, but recovered to outrun his adversary and win the next three games 9-3, 9-2, 9-4.

Other victories included a 3-1 win by senior Robbie Thompson, and two 3-0 dominating victories by sophomore Charlie Swanson #8 and junior Asa Tyler #9.

Both Andrew White #1 and Bryan Henry #2 played hard, but were defeated by their opponents 0-3.
