Paper Due: June 2, 2008 The final paper is an integral part of your Senior Service Project. It is a chance for you to reflect upon and analyze the experience, making this a true “service-learning” project. Your faculty sponsor will read and evaluate the paper. In the event that your final paper is not adequate, you will be asked to rewrite it. The following information should be included: 1. A description of a typical day, as well as any unusual experiences. 2. Your initial expectations of the SSP experience. 3. An analysis of how your expectations were or were not by the SSP experience, as well as an analysis of whether or not your initial expectations were realistic. 4. Description of the challenges you faced and how they were overcome. 5. Explanation of how your plans/goals changed during the course of the three weeks. 6. An explanation of the most valuable part of the experience for you. 7. Information that would have been helpful for you to have before or during the SSP experience. 8. Any suggestions for improvement of the SSP program. The paper must be typed and double-spaced. It should be 4-5 pages in length, minimum of 1500 words. Please print the word count. Presentation Guidelines · Presentations will begin at 8:45 am and end at 12 pm with a break from 10:30 to 10:45. Each presentation group will consist of 8 – 10 students.
