Siloam offers a safe, caring, hope-filled environment that welcomes men, women and children of all races, creeds and orientations, who are infected with or affected by HIV/AIDS to access their spirituality for the purpose of wellness.

Siloam is an interfaith organization that recognizes the distinction between religion and spirituality.  While religion offers ritual and community, spirituality does not require participation in organized religion.  Spirituality can be found by spending time in nature, through the expression of poetry, music and art, or through helping others.  Siloam believes that spirituality helps people develop beliefs and/or values that give meaning and purpose to life, and that spiritual wellness is critical for overall mental health and well-being.

Siloam is a Hebrew word for "one who is sent." Siloam was a pool of water mentioned in Christian scriptures that referred to a Jewish place of miracles where an angel would descend providing physical and spiritual healing.  We believe that persons living with HIV/AIDS are among us for our healing as well as their own.
