Organization Overview:
Pals for Life is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing companion animal programs to the people who need them so much: the elderly, the handicapped, the mentally impaired...persons who need love, friendship, and something warm and furry to hug.

Pals for Life has been providing pet visitation and humane education programs throughout the Delaware Valley since 1985.  Its mission is to have pets and people help each other live happier, healthier, more fulfilled lives.

Number of volunteers needed:
1

Duties required of the volunteer:

  • Animal cage cleaning Cat litter box cleaning and feeding paperwork, filing promotional material producing pet therapy visitation to nursing homes/hospitals, misc. office work

Special skills that will be helpful for a volunteer to have:
love of animals, especially kittens and rabbits, ability to work independently and be organized

Typical hours of employment:
10 - 5

Special circumstances ie. travel, security clearance or background check required:
students must not have animal allergies, or be willing to be around animals even if allergic.
