May/June 2008
· Make sure that you have deposited at the college of your choice by May 1st. It is expected that you will make one -- and only one -- enrollment deposit. · If you remain on a waiting list, please keep in close touch with your counselor so that she can monitor the situation with the college or university. · Seniors need to stay on top of their many obligations: Advanced Placement exams, final exams, the Senior Service Projects and completing Shipley service hours. Graduation depends on successful completion of all academic work, 40 hours of service and successful completion of the Senior Service Project. · Complete your Spring Questionnaire for the College Counseling Office, due May 1. · If you have not had an individual conference with your counselor, make an appointment as soon as possible. · Once your individual conference has taken place, you are encouraged to make a family appointment. · Seminars are no longer meeting; however, every junior should spend time each week researching colleges, reflecting on their accomplishments and their desires, and keeping in touch with their college counselor. · Juniors should be refining their lists of possible college options with an eye toward creating a manageable list to visit over the summer and/or fall. · SAT Reasoning and SAT Subjects are given May 3rd and June 7th. · ACT is given June 14th.
