The amount of the scholarships and the level of scores and grades needed to qualify vary widely. You might check out some of the schools you are interested in and see what kinds of merit scholarships are available.

This site also offers some materials designed to help students prepare for various tests, college applications, etc. Whenever you deal with the College Board, be sure to check on the cost of their services. Many of these services are free, but many are not.

It is also the most up-to-date source for a listing of colleges and universities that do not require national tests for admissions.
http://www.number2.com/ http://www.number2.com This is a totally free test prep site for the SAT and ACT as well as for vocabulary building. Number2.com was created by university professors and graduate students with years of experience in the area of test preparation, and they are offering their expertise without cost or obligation. This site has gotten good reviews from students and counselors.
http://www.commonapp.org/ http://www.commonapp.org The Common Application is accepted by almost 200 schools to which Shipley students often apply. The application can be downloaded from the web site or completed online and submitted electronically.
Note: Many of the "college search" web sites listed on Shipley's web page also offer applications to download. Or, if you know the college phone number or web site address, you can contact them directly to request paper copies of their applications. On the college web site you can also usually find an electronic application to download or to complete and submit online. If you don't know or can't find the correct email address or web site for a college or university, use the next web site.
