Dinner and a Movie 2003

Members of the Shipley community joined together for a discussion after viewing the Oscar-winning documentary The Panama Deception. 

“The Panama Deception documents the untold story of the December 1989 U.S. invasion of Panama; the events which led to it; the excessive force used; the enormity of the death and destruction; and the devastating aftermath.

Luis Ottley, Assistant Head of Upper School, facilitated discussion about the movie. A young man living in Panama at the time of the US invasion, Ottley shared his first hand experiences of the terror and unrest.
