All School Diversity Meeting
November 16, 2005

For all who were not able to attend the All School Diversity meeting Wednesday, November 16, we would like to give a special thanks to our two presenters, Kathy Chapman and Brenda Leaks.  The theme for the meeting was Professional Development and Diversity.  Kathy made a presentation documenting her time spent at the Pierce Elementary School running an illustrator's workshop for 5th graders in academic need.  Brenda gave us some time to experiment with clapping and watching her so eloquently play the castanets, as she told us about her trip to Albuquerque, New Mexico where she learned about Flamenco in a Spanish-speaking environment. Conversation, snacks and laughter was shared by all.
