Dinner and a Movie 2004 Members of the Shipley community- parents, students, faculty and staff- were invited to share in a movie, dinner and discussion. The movie was “What’s Cooking?”, a timely choice following the parallel lives of five very different families in Los Angelos during a single Thanksgiving dinner. The movie explores themes of race, religion, culture, generational differences, sexual orientation, divorce, violence and stereotyping. For information about the movie check out http://www.metacritic.com/video/titles/whatscooking/ .
