Parker ’26

Parker’s Shipley story begins in sixth grade, where he quickly discovered a community that felt genuinely welcoming and different. Over time, he found his place through both challenge and growth—developing his voice in debate and stepping into leadership as captain of the cross-country team, an area that didn’t come naturally at first. Along the way, he built lasting friendships and strong connections with teachers who supported his ambitions—learning to lead with purpose and shape his future.

“Over the years, I’ve built my closest friendships on this team and strong connections with younger students. Being elected captain showed me that hard work pays off—you don’t have to win the race to win your own race.”
