As Above So Below: Leveraging Self Awareness to Discuss Race and other Social Issues with Intentionality

In attempting to solve big issues involving race and identity we must first develop an understanding of how our own identities are contextualized within the given systems. This presentation walks us through a comprehensive framework for having conversations and problem-solving issues about race with intentionality and self-awareness. We will review relevant psychological and sociological concepts to provide for a more in depth understanding of ourselves in the social world. This presentation assumes a basic understanding of concepts and definitions around race and other social issues.
