Master of Time
Shipley has prepared me for college and for life the most by improving my time management skills. Personally, I feel that time management skills are a huge part of success because there are thousands of talented people, but what can set someone apart from the group is being able to balance many tasks and complete tasks efficiently. Time management is a skill I plan on continuing to improve because I will only need it more in college, where both academics and athletics are much more time consuming.

Surpassing Expectations
As for my Shipley academic experience, I have taken demanding courses. Athletically, I needed to put a lot of time into basketball. I knew going into Shipley that I wanted to become serious about basketball. On the other hand, I knew one of the biggest reasons I was here was to excel academically. I feel that I have grown academically and can do more than I expected. From an athletic standpoint, I never imagined I would play Division 1 college basketball.

Most Influential Teacher
My most influential teacher would have to be Maria Stroup. Although she doesn’t teach the traditional subjects, I believe that she impacts students in so many ways. She is always there for anyone if they need help with any problems and she can brighten anyone’s day. She is definitely one of the people (faculty or student) that I will miss the most in this community.

We are the Champions
Basketball has been such a huge part of my life, and the majority of my most memorable experiences at Shipley due to basketball and my teammates. If I had to choose one, I would choose our first state championship and the celebration that night to be one of the best experiences of my life.

Parlez-vous français?
From an academic standpoint, my most memorable experience would be going to France my sophomore year through the exchange program.

Plans for Fall 2015
My plans for the fall are to attend Lafayette College. I am going in declared a chemical engineering major and I will continue my basketball career there.

Future Ambition
My future ambition is to go to graduate school and eventually get my PhD. I am not sure yet what I would like to do with this degree but I know there are such a variety of great opportunities in this specialty.
